Presentation by Dave Hadley on social media

Thank you to Dave for opening a lively discussion on the use of Reels.

Firstly, answering the question, what are reels?

A: A reel allows users to publish creative content film as short video clips that are editable with sound dubs or added effects on your social media pages.

Being a photographer Dave posts lots of photos but found the average view would be around 200 impressions. Posting reels has taken those impressions to over 3,000. A massive leap. Mät King helped with the discussion being a videographer, backing up Dave’s idea that short format is the way to go now. People have little time and their attention span is less now, if you don’t grab someone quickly, they are likely to scroll on past.

Dave’s presentation led to our 20 min discussion on following social media profiles. I posted a link on Facebook for all our lovely networkers to pop their business links on, in order for us to follow each other. Please put your link on if you haven’t done so yet. In turn this has led to a great debate with a lady who never got any follows. She isn’t part of our network group, merely an advertiser. Privately we discussed why no one followed her. I am uploading an article to the website based on this discussion. www.tandv.co.uk

Next Month

Presentation - I am looking for someone who would like to present their business. Please drop me a pm.

20-minute discussion – What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?

Our website – We have space saved on our website for advertising your business. It a feature space for Networkers to use. One month advertising is only £20, That will give you a special feature on the website, our Instagram, my LinkedIn and on our Facebook too. Drop me an email if you are interested. tandvconnections@gmail.com

Wrap up!

Thank you to all attendees again for your time. You make the meetings, not me. The more you put in, the more you get out.

Thank you to Steve from Bespoke Pest Control for chairing this month’s meeting. I took a step back this month due to being held the day after my Mums funeral. If I’m honest, I wasn’t sure if I was even going to turn up, let alone feel like chairing. Steve did a grand job, even with a little interference from me.

On a more personal note, it has been a hard month for me but you guys really helped with your cards and messages of support. Outwardly, I may look ok. Inside is still a different story. So big thanks to all for helping me keep it together until the end.

See you at the next one!

Thursday March 16th

Many thanks

Vickie
